Another weekend, another winter storm for most!
This time we stay all snow. The only fly in the ointment is whether or not the moisture will fizzle in spots thanks to jet stream dynamics and a possible dry slot.
However this is a gulf low that moves up the NC coast Friday so I expect 2-5” for most spots. If the snow comes in solid and stays solid we will see closer to 5” maybe more. More of a dry slot would result in amounts closer to 2”. I prefer 2-5” right now.
The main image shows the snow in Texas and that’s a good look for snow here in Virginia.
By 5 am the snow is close to eastern Tennessee.

The snow moves in around 3 pm Friday and roads will get slick FAST.

The snow may turn heavy by 8 p.m. Friday.
